Melissa Joan Hart spiller hovedrollen som Sabrina Spellman, der bor sammen med sine to tanter Hilda (Caroline Rhea) og Zelda (Beth Broderick) og deres talende kat, Salem (med stemme af Nick Bakay). I anden sæson spreder Sabrina besværgelser - og latter! - over Harvey (Nate Richert), Valerie (Lindsay Sloane), Libby (Jenna Leigh Green) og den nye viceskoleinspektør Kraft (Martin Mull). Men Sabrina er samtidig ved at blive en ansvarlig, ung kvinde, og hun har rigtig mange heksekunster at lære endnu sammen med sin nye quizmaster (Alimi Ballard).
